Jeff and Susan Hobson and HobbyHouseQuilting.com
I, Susan, have been sewing since I was a small child. I started making my school clothes by age 12 and designing items in my mid teens. I designed and created for a large client list as a business while my children were young but began my RN career when the last child started school. I spent 20 years, retiring in 2012, doing specialized nursing and this is where my husband becomes a factor. Our passion has always been quilts, mine was designing, making and quilting them and his snuggling under them. I had been quilting for self and family for years when he asked if I had ever considered doing it for others. My answer was YES, YES, YES. So began our search for the perfect longarm quilting machine for us.
We found everything we were wanting in an ABM INNOVA 26". It was welcomed into our home in March of 2014 and Jeff, immediately quilted his first quilt for the youngest Grandson. It was love at first stitch for both of us. We love our Innova (named Josephine). Since that 1st quilt we have been busy, busy, busy quilting for ourselves, others and many local charities. Our quilting has won many awards over the last few years at various shows and fairs throughout the country. We have been loving every minute of it. Recently we added a 2nd INNOVA Longarm to our family.
HobbyHouse Quilting was originally located in a log studio loft in the hills of Martinsville, IN. In July of 2020 Jeff retired and we relocated to beautiful Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Your quilt will be quilted in our new home which is a pet free and smoke free. We offer our quilting services throughout the entire United States and will return your quilted Quilt top back to you with 2 - 3 weeks from your scheduled start date.
We want to thank you for trusting us with your precious quilt and promise to treat your quilt with the tender loving care it deserves and complete it as if it were our own creation.
